Flow with the Oahu Channel, lined by beautiful scenery and home to a host of wildlife, during this self-guided kayaking tour. Paddle downstream to Lake Rotoiti and down the lake's Okere Arm, where you will be picked up and transferred back to the base in Rotorua Airport.
Paddle out with your group of four and discover all the sights and delights of the Ohau Channel at your own pace. You'll be armed with everything you need for your self-guided adventure including all equipment, maps and information. Start by practicing on Lake Rotorua if required, before heading out through the gates onto the channel. The first half of the paddle consists of slow-moving water and takes you down the channel, brimmed by picturesque scenery and home to an abundance of wildlife. Keep an eye out for low hanging trees and other obstacles as you head downstream. Once you reach the channel exit, you will head out into Lake Rotoiti and the Okere Arm, featuring very slow moving water. Once finished, you will be transferred back to base.
Please allow 2-2.5 hours for this experience.
