Home to calm sheltered waters, Mission Bay in the Waitemata Harbour is a paddle boarder's paradise. Head to this waterfront suburb and get the best possible introduction to stand up paddle boarding during a 90 minute private lesson. Led by an experienced instructor, your lesson will cover self-rescue, hazard awareness, balance, paddling straight, turning, stopping and often more. As you build up more confidence, you'll have the opportunity to go for a distance paddle or combine some games and team challenges to advance your skills. At the lesson's end and if time permits, you're welcome to freedom paddle within the bay.
