Situated right on the lake edge there are a range of hot pools of varying temperatures all fed from a natural hot spring. Leisurely paddling through a scenic route across the lake for approximately 1 hour each way, you will learn about some of the history and the local stories on the way. There is plenty of time to relax and enjoy the hot pools or swim in the lake before paddling back to base.

This experience is part of the Responsible Range as it was awarded a Qualmark Enviro-Gold endorsement.

Important information

Session Length

Please allow approximately 3.5 hours for the experience or around 5 hours for including transfers.

Reccomended maximum weight limit of 120kg

Guidelines

It is possible for younger children to be put in the front of a double kayak with a parent. However the younger the child the more capable the adult needs to be as they may not have any paddling assistance from the child.

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

A minimum of 4 customers are required before the trip will proceed.

It is essential that all customers contact the experience provider on the day before the trip to confirm departure. Rotorua Adventures reserves the right to cancel or amend any trip due to safety issues, weather, river or road conditions, or insufficient numbers.

Dress Code

You are required to bring a swimsuit, shorts and towel.

This experience meets by the Boat Ramp at 50 Otaramarae Road, Okere Falls 3074. Transfers are available from commercial accommodation within a 15 minute drive of the Rotorua city centre for an additional $15 per person.
