Experience the beauty of southern Abel Tasman with this amazing walk and kayak day tour. Begin your day by checking in at 8:15am and meeting your guide who will give you tips and a map for your morning self guided walk from Torrent Bay to Bark Bay. Prepare for some breathtaking views as you gaze down onto the beautiful landscape from your vantage point, then cross over the famous 47 metre high Falls River Swing Bridge. After a scenic three hour hike, arrive at Observation Beach around 12:15pm, where you will meet your guide and enjoy the complimentary lunch to refuel before heading out on your kayak. After a short briefing, hop on in and start your picturesque paddle through the Astrolabe Islands. Take in all the highlights as your guide takes your to all the best spots for approximately a two hour journey. If conditions permit, you will get to kayak-sail back into Marahau on the afternoon sea breeze. This is the perfect day out for the ultimate nature lovers of the earth, sky and sea.

Weather

The provider will not launch a trip if they consider that the wind and sea conditions are unsafe for the group. In this situation, a full refund will be provided.

Dress Code

Please wear/bring the following items for this experience: t-shirts and shorts (not cotton) sunhat sunglasses warm top (wool/fleece) sandals and/or walking shoes swimsuit and towel. Personal items medication camera Sunscreen insect repellent water bottle Note: For your own comfort throughout the day we advise that you wear shorts or similar whilst paddling the kayak. Long pants get very wet! If your walking you may want a change of clothes for walking.
