★★★★★ ★★★★★ Overpriced paddle to see a few glow worms djrob919 8 October 2017 Being by myself (72 yo), I was paired with a six year old girl whose mother was told would be paired with a guide. However I went along with the pairing and was ok with the paddling to site, but then a looonnnng wait to go in area of glow worms due to another canoe excursion being there there ahead of us. Then on way back across the lake, two guides (after shouting unintellibble instructions) and the young paddlers took off like scolded cats and I lost sight of them several times. I looked around but couldn't see other guide or remaining tourist canoe. I grounded the canoe a couple of times on low parts of the lake, almost ran into a fallen tree in lake, finally spied some lights and headed towards them. By this time, my wee companion was wet, missing her Mum, and getting coder by the minute. After we were hauled in about 9 pm, she was upset, wet from the steady rain and in quite tearful. Dad was already back in the bus with his son. On arriving back at this site, there are no loo facilities, nor when we got back from the returning bus trip were there any facilities. Just a thanks guys, there are your cars. Just as well it was a gift to me, otherwise I would be REALLY upset.
