Enjoy the relaxing, tranquil pleasures of the Kerikeri river, one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand and one that needs to be seen by boat. Relax in the sunshine as the scenery glides silently by, perhaps even visiting a waterfront pub or cafe along the way!
Providing you with a unique opportunity to explore the tranquil Kerikeri river in silence and serenity, and maybe even getting up close to birds and wildlife, an electric boat hire for you and your family and friends is an ideal way to spend a couple of hours in one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand. With a range of high quality, silent electric boats for hire on the beautiful Kerikeri river you will be able to choose your transport of choice, and with no license of any kind required, this experience is suitable for just about all ages and abilities. Travel from The Stone Store to Waipapa Landing, or go half way and come back, but make sure you give yourself plenty of time to relax and enjoy the river, stopping as and when you like to see everything there is to see. Full training can also be provided, as can a guide to help you navigate the river, or simply grab a map and go exploring of your own accord.
The operating area is limited to the Kerikeri River. No fishing or swimming from the boat.
Each boat has a maximum capacity of people and weight. Please book enough boats for your whole group. We can accomodate up to 15 people across three boats subject to availability. The mini catamarans can take up to two adults and an extra child or two can squeeze on. Akaroa can take up to seven people and the English River Launch can take up to six.
Friends who are not joining in can watch the river from the beer garden at the waterside pub and see you go past during your trip.
Please bring suitable clothing in case of a rain shower. We may postpone if the wind is too strong in the river but not usually for rain. Our boats all have a canopy but you can still get wet if the rain blows in from the side.
Don't forget sun glasses, sun cream, drinking water, windproof/rainproof jacket. Even on a hot day if can be chilly if there's a breeze blowing down the river so bring suitable clothing.
