Discover the exciting water sport of stand up paddle boarding during this group lesson in the picturesque Mission Bay. An experienced instructor will cover an introduction to the equipment, safety on the water and basic paddling techniques to get you confidently paddling across the water in no time.
Home to calm sheltered waters, Mission Bay in the Waitemata Harbour is a paddle boarder's paradise. Head to this waterfront suburb and get the best possible introduction to stand up paddle boarding during a 60 minute group lesson. Led by an experienced instructor, your lesson will cover an introduction to the equipment, safety on the water and basic paddling techniques such as stance, turning, paddle stroke and board control. As you build up more confidence, you'll have the opportunity to go for a distance paddle or combine some games and team challenges to advance your skills. At the lesson's end and if time permits, you're welcome to freedom paddle within the bay.
This experience is 60 minutes in duration.
Although we try and be as inclusive as possible it is important to remember safety is our number one priority. The guide must be able to lift/ assist a client back onto the SUP if in the unlikely event that they fall off.
Participants will be required to sign a liability form.

Paddling clothes such as swimwear, quick-dry shorts or leggings, thermal top and/or rash top, a change of clothes, sunscreen, hat and a towel.
