Paddle Lake W?naka’s scenic Roy’s Bay on a 3-hour guided kayak adventure. Enjoy spectacular Southern Alps views, local stories and a relaxed 7-km route, with opportunities to see the W?naka Tree and Ruby Island. Suitable for beginners and experienced paddlers.
Experience Lake W?naka from a different perspective on a 3-hour guided kayaking adventure through Roy’s Bay. Meet your local guide at Paddle W?naka and get set up with your kayak and safety equipment before a short safety briefing. Then head onto the lake to explore the shoreline and open waters of Roy’s Bay. Paddle at a relaxed pace while taking in spectacular views of the Southern Alps, surrounding mountains and crystal-clear waters. Along the way, your guide will share local knowledge and stories about Lake W?naka and the surrounding area. The route covers approximately 7 km, with plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, take photos and make stops along the way. Depending on weather and lake conditions, you may enjoy views of iconic W?naka landmarks such as the W?naka Tree and Ruby Island. An optional short walk or exploration stop may also be included, allowing you to step out of the kayak and experience more of the lake environment.
In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. If your experience is cancelled you will be rescheduled by the provider.
Please bring clothing appropriate to the weather that you are ok with getting wet in. If in doubt always bring warmer cloths and we can store them in the kayaks.
