This is a canyoning experience that will make you gasp in awe of the world's beauty. You'll abseil down showering waterfalls surrounded by moss and fern covered volcanic rock, and swim through pools of blues and greens.
The Piha Canyon is only forty minutes drive from Auckland in the Waitakere Park Ranges. Your guides will either pick you up from Auckland or meet you in Piha before suiting you up in full length wetsuits, harnesses and helmet.
Then, your adventure becomes a reality. Explore your way through steep mountain streams and abseil under showering waterfalls separated only by tranquil pools of blues and greens. Jumps, caves and slides will be your means to explore a canyon rich with history throughout the pioneering years. All of the caves and jumps are optional, meaning you can choose the level of adventure for yourself.
After lunch descend further into the canyon of constant discovery and otherwise unreachable views and majestic spots. Continuing through tunnels, over boulders and under logs, test your courage by jumping into plunge pools and abseiling right into waterfalls.
All obstacles are optional, so if you don't want to participate in a jump or cave you can easily get around it.
