For beginners to aspiring acrobats, the Branching Out course option was designed for budding baboons, culminating in a number of rewarding flying foxes that will have you zipping through the treetops at full throttle.

What's included?

Four high-wire adventure courses
Safety briefing and equipment
Instructors supervising park from the ground

With activities ranging from 3 to 7 metres above the ground, ease your way through some more relaxing obstacles before progressing onto the more challenging hanging logs, tree trolley, and the legendary Tarzan swing. Finish all your courses with a number of rewarding flying foxes that will have you zipping through the treetops at full throttle.

The Branching Out experience is recommended for an intermediate climber.

Experience currently operating weekends only - weekdays are on request.

Session Length

Please allow 3 hours for this experience, including 30 minutes for check-in and a safety briefing
Available on weekends, school holidays and most public holidays
Open from 9am - 6pm
Bookings are available from 9.30am to 3pm

Guidelines

Minimum age 9
Minimum height 1.3 metres
A moderate level of fitness is required
Maximum weight of 130kg
Participants under 16 years old must be directly supervised by an adult (18+ years) at all times. Children on different adventure options cannot be supervised by the same adult.
Not suitable for pregnant women

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This experience is for one person. You will go through a safety briefing with up to 20 other people, before being let loose on your courses. Up to 200 people may be in the park at once.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome and free of charge.

Weather

This experience operates rain or shine as the forest canopy provides shelter from moderate rain. In the case of lightning storms or unsafe weather conditions i.e strong winds your experience will be rescheduled by the provider.

Dress Code

Please wear enclosed shoes and casual, comfortable clothes. Waterproof jacket if rain is forecast.

Other Info

Instructors stay on the ground to supervise and provide assistance when required.

This experience takes place in Woodhill Forest, a 35 minute drive from Auckland CBD.

Friendly staff. Well maintained courses. Very scary but just an awesome activity for a group or a couple. Be prepared to be out of your comfort zone if this isn't an activity you do every weekend!

Great experience however tree hugging was not explained that it’s for little kids this needs to be mentioned that it’s for very small kids. Had to upgrade to a higher experience for my son.

Due to height restrictions our youngest daughter was unable to attempt Tarzan. She has been obsessed about wanting to tackle the Tarzan course for 2 years!! We finally returned and we as a family tackled the Tarzan course!! A definite fun challenging activity to accomplish! Highly recommended

I had an awesome time, it had something for all levels of experience. It was a bit of a hassle having to book through a 3rd party since I wanted to go on a sunny day and with the 48hr confirmation window, you never know what the weather is going to do.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and accommodating when we arrived a little late. Felt safe and secure, but we really liked not being followed the whole time - we were allowed to roam the courses as we pleased, knowing that a staff member could be found easily should we need.
