Head into the skies above Auckland and learn to fly a Cabri G2 helicopter during this hands-on lesson. With a qualified instructor by your side, you'll take the controls and learn how to turn, climb and descend, and experience the excitement of a low-level flight through the Whitford Forest.
Upon arrival at Ardmore Airfield, you will be greeted by your experienced instructor for a pre-flight briefing on safety and how the Cabri G2 helicopter works. You'll then gear up and embark on your sensational helicopter lesson, where you will learn how to turn, as well as climb and descend around Clevedon. Once you've gotten more comfortable with the controls, you'll experience a thrilling low-level flight through the Whitford Forest. Once back at the airfield, your instructor will set up an auto-rotational approach to show you how you can land without using engine power. If that's not enough, you then get to try your hand at hovering the aircraft!
You are one-on-one with your instructor.
Friends and family are welcome to take photos with the helicopter and listen to the preflight briefings.
Flights will be conducted during daylight hours only. Flights are weather permitting; postponement may be caused by rain, fog or strong wind.
Light, comfortable clothing and enclosed footwear is recommended.
