★★★★★ ★★★★★ Recommended An incredible experience Stuboy 23 March 2026 I recently had a trial helicopter flight for my birthday, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. My instructor, Steve, was incredibly knowledgeable, and it became obvious very quickly that he’s got a huge amount of experience under his belt - the man must have nerves of steel. What really surprised me was how much hands‑on flying time you actually get. Steve let me take the controls for a large portion of the flight, always ready to step in when needed, but giving me the space to really feel what it’s like to fly. I got to head out over the countryside, try figure‑8s, and even have a go at hovering, which is every bit as challenging as people say. Steve also demonstrated steep bank turns and even walked me through emergency landing procedures (auto‑rotation), which was fascinating to experience up close. Overall, it was an incredible experience, exciting, informative, and far more immersive than I expected. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who’s ever wondered what it’s like to fly a helicopter. It does have a negative though, do not book this unless you are prepared to be hooked on flying a chopper !
