Looking for a buzz in the City of Sails? Experience the only bridge climb in all of New Zealand as you climb to the summit of the iconic Auckland Harbour Bridge. After a comprehensive safety briefing and gear up in your climb suit, you will take on this landmark alongside your friendly and knowledgeable guide. Learn about the Bridge's colourful secrets and amazing architectural features from your guide, and spot some of the city's best sights including the harbour and surrounding islands as you make your way to the summit. The custom-engineered walkways provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all climbers.

Session Length

Please allow two hours for this experience. The climb takes 90 minutes
Available seven days a week at Check in times of 9:30am, 11:30am and 2:30pm
Closed Christmas Day

Guidelines

Minimum age is seven years. Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult
Participants aged 7-15 years must have a parent or guardian co-sign their waiver
Minimum weight is 35kg, maximum weight is 150kg
Minimum height is 1.15m

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Weather

In the case of severe weather your trip may be rescheduled.

Dress Code

Covered footwear must be worn. All participants must wear the provided bridge climb suits - wet weather gear will be provided if needed. No cameras, mobile phones, loose clothing or equipment can be carried on the Bridge due to safety reasons.

Fantastic views of the City of Sails. Our tour guide Christine had great knowledge of the structure of the bridge and with humour and patients made it an awesome experience. Watching the bungy jumpers at platform level was pretty nerve wracking but exciting. Strongly recommended at any age.

Easy parking at the base and very friendly people at check-in counter. Our guide, Simon, was very professional and very friendly. He told us interesting facts about the bridge whilst ensuring we safely enjoyed the climb. We stopped to watch some people bungy off the bridge also. I have a fear of heights and yet still managed to thoroughly enjoy the climb. The view from the top was awesome!

An excellent experience. Professional staff and a very interesting detail pointed out. Professional process to ensure safety. Would strongly recommend this experience to anyone, including local residents (that we are). It was great to learn about our bridge, to see tourists enjoying our city, and to see the city from a height.

What a fantastic Day. Started at 1.30pm climbing the Harbour Bridge. The guide was very informative and the view was stunning. The climb was relatively easy with a couple of steep stairs to climb but manageable.Was able to stop and watch a couple of bungy jumps which was really neat to see.

I viewed my gifted bridge walk voucher with some trepidation, and nervously booked the day. To my delight I found it an exhilerating experience and one that gave me great satisfaction in having accomplished! The cloudless sky, the reassuring guide and equipment and the knowledge that I was doing something completely out of the norm made for an excellent event!

Recieved this as a gift birthday present, had enormous difficulty trying to book it via the website and after failing to do so, emailed them to only get the response that it was already booked in... no option of changing the date or time was given. Disappointing outcome didn't complete it before it ran out.
