This full day biking adventure lets you really experience the stunning surround of the Queenstown Trails and Wakatipu Basin and its magnificent scenery. Enjoy a day of easy to moderate off-road biking on purpose built scenic trails with a platter lunch along the way.
Starting with a 9am pick up from your Queenstown accommodation you will be dropped off a Queenstown Bay where you will be matched up with your mountain bike or electric bike, your map and trail tips before setting off on the open road. You will cycle along the shore of Lake Wakatipu to the Frankton Marina with a morning tea pit-stop at the historic Boatshed Cafe. The shuttle bus will pick you up and drive you to the heart of the Wakatipu Basin to continue the scenic ride. Pause for a picnic lunch in historic Arrowtown, then set off again along the beautiful Arrow and Kawarau Rivers to the Historic Kawarau Suspension Bridge - home of the famous Kawarau Bungy.
Finish with a short ride through to Gibbston Valley and enjoy a relaxing wine tasting and cheesery visit. Sit back and relax while we drive you back to your Queenstown accommodation.
This trip can be catered to any level of rider and is well supported along the way; you ride independently but have the reassurance of vehicle and driver support at designated points along the trail. Not only can you avail of vehicle transfers along the trail if your legs need a break, but the benefit of being on a supported bike tour means you will not get lost. Approximate biking distance is 30kms - all off-road.
