Get on two wheels and discover the gorgeous countryside brimming the Hauraki Rail Trail on this half day self-guided adventure. From Thames, you will follow the easy-to-ride track all the way to the iconic Matatoki Cheese Barn, where you will savour a sumptuous cheese platter or pizza for lunch. The property is also home to a flock of farm animals, who love to be cuddled and fed, making this cycling adventure the perfect family day out. After lunch, get back on your bike and enjoy the relaxing ride to base.
We only rent our bicycles to persons from 16 years or older, when we feel confident that the persons are able to understand and manage the bike well and ride responsibly. Chidren under the age of 16 may only hire standard bikes - even if they are accompanied by an adult over the age of 16.
