What better place to tick paragliding off your bucket list than the postcard-perfect Queenstown? After meeting the provider at the designated pick up point, you will be transported to Rocky Gully, the highest summer take-off point in Queenstown, where your pilot will take you through a detailed safety briefing and prepare you for the flight ahead. You will then be harnessed in and counted down to take the leap together at a whopping 4,100ft! Experience an adrenaline rush like no other as you are rewarded with spectacular aerial views of Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables. For the serious thrill seekers, you will have the opportunity to enjoy some aerobatic spins and turns in the air before safely floating back down to earth.

  • The minimum weight for a passenger is 20kg and the maximum is 110kg
  • It is important for all customers to declare any of the following medical conditions: Pregnancy, heart condition, recent sprains or muscular injuries, panic/anxiety attacks, high/low blood pressure, bone disorders, fragile skin, dislocations, diabetes, epilepsy, prosthetics, neurological disorders, disabilities, physical impairment, motion sickness. Please note this does not necessarily exclude a person from doing the experience


Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with the according to this policy:

  • If the trip has to be cancelled due to weather conditions, there are no cancellation fees. However, if you cancel your trip within 48hr of departure, there is a 20% cancellation fee applicable. Cancellations within an hour of departure require a 50% cancellation fee
  • No refund is given, if customer is not turning up on time for departure of the trip or if they exceed the passenger weight
  • A change of booking fee of NZ$50 per person will apply

Numbers on the Day

No minimum number per trip, maximum numbers for a trip vary, depending on the time of the year. Please check with reservations.


Spectators can come along for a small fee of NZ$20 per spectator.


Paragliding is a weather dependent activity. You are required to call for a weather check half an hour before departure time - this will be supplied at the time of booking. In the event of poor weather, you will be rescheduled for a later date. No booking fee applies.

Dress Code

Warm clothing and sturdy footwear.
