Take in the unspoiled natural beauty of the Wanaka region during this unforgettable hot air ballooning experience. Spend an hour enjoying the bliss that comes from floating high above the Earth, whilst gaining a new appreciation for the stunning Southern Alps as well as Lakes Wanaka and Hawea.
This is your chance to experience hot air ballooning in stunning Wanaka. Meeting outside the Wanaka l-site 15 minutes before launch time, which may vary depending on the season, you will be driven in a 4X4 chase vehicle to the best launch site based on the wind direction for the day. Once you arrive at a suitable launch site you will be given a safety briefing followed by the inflating of the balloon. On take-off, you will ascend to a suitable altitude for breathtaking panoramic views and once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunities (we also attach a camera to the balloon for in-flight photos). Afterwards, you will descend to a lower altitude for the second part of the flight, providing a better view of the ground. Finally, after an hour in the air, you will land and have the chance to enjoy a celebratory drink in the landing field before heading back to the Wanaka Iaunch site in the chase vehicle.

Bring warm early morning clothing and good footwear as we do set off land in a Paddock and of course cameras to record the memories.
