Witness the vividly-coloured Bay Of Islands from the clouds during this 20 minute scenic flight. Soar above 140 subtropical islands sprinkled along the coastline all the way to the infamous Hole in the Rock near Cape Brett Peninsula, before returning to Paihia on a different route.
Lifting off from the beachside helipad in Paihia, you will fly over Russell and the astonishing Bay of Islands out to the iconic Hole in the Rock. Take in views of the Bay's 140 subtropical islands as your pilot tracks the coastline, boasting brilliant white sand beaches and dazzling swirls of blue and turquoise. Continue towards the Cape Brett Peninsula and its lighthouse before heading to the Hole in the Rock, a huge rock formation with a spectacular 16 metre high hole carved into it by the ocean. Experience an exciting turn around the entire island followed by an alternate flight path back to Paihia, which takes you over the main islands of the area.
This experience is 20 minutes in duration.
