Prepare for a breathtaking scenic flight over five of New Zealand's magnificent glaciers, and soak up fantastic aerial views of the Southern Alps, waterfalls and the majestic Milford Sound.
Get ready for jaw dropping sights as you embark on one of the most scenic flights youΓ’β¬β’ll ever be on. After checking in, your pilot will run take you through a briefing and give you a quick rundown of the sights youΓ’β¬β’ll be flying over. Then itΓ’β¬β’s time to buckle up as youΓ’β¬β’ll take flight sharp at 8am. Start off by tracking north up the world famous Shotover Canyon, passing Lake Lochnagar to Mt Aspiring, which is the tallest peak outside of the Mt Cook region. As you turn west for Milford Sound, be mesmerised by the Volta Glacier, one of New Zealand's seven glaciers and be sure to snap some pictures of this once in a lifetime view.
The next section of the flight will take you down the glacier alley, with the Olivine Ice Plateau, a unique glacial amphitheatre. Further west toward Milford Sound, youΓ’β¬β’ll link up with the existing Milford flight path, over Mt Tutoko and the Donne & Age Glaciers, before capturing the Fiord of Milford, followed by a return flight back to Queenstown viewing the Arthur Valley and Lake Te Anau.
