Fly above a postcard landscape during this helicopter and ski plane flight around Mt Cook. Revel in unparalleled views of snow-peaked mountains and striking blue glacier lakes before landing on the Tasman Glacier. Enjoy the piercing silence of nature as the aircraft turns off for a moment.
Prepare to be completely captivated from lift off to landing during this spectacular combo flight in a helicopter and ski plane. Be in awe as you fly up the Tasman Valley and over the dazzling blue glacier lake, before soaring past Hochstetter Icefall and the cloud-piercing Aoraki/Mt Cook. Your pilot will then land on the upper snowfields of the Tasman Glacier, a location covered in snow and ice year-round. The aircraft shuts down on landing so that you can soak in the serene ambience of this icy wonderland in full. Gaze upon Tasman Terminal Lake, Grand Plateau, Plateau Hut, as well as the full length of the Tasman Glacier as you enjoy this unique alpine environment, before switching aircrafts and returning back to base.
