Taste a rainbow of wines during a tour of Auckland’s heritage wine region, the Kumeu Wine Country. Savour sips at three award-winning Kumeu wineries, enjoy a sumptuous vineyard lunch with a glass of wine and visit the wild west coast beach of Muriwai.
Home to some of the country's most eminent vineyards and wineries, the Kumeu Wine Country is a must-see Auckland destination. Experience all the tastes and aromas of this stunning wine region during an afternoon tour. The tour kicks off with a tasting at the award-winning Soljans Vineyard, home to richly flavoured wines expertly crafted with traditional and modern techniques, followed by a Mediterranean-style lunch at the restaurant. You will then head into the heart of the Kumeu region to Coopers Creek for another flavourful tasting. Continue the tour with a visit to the wild and beautiful, Muriwai Beach. From August to April, you will view a spectacular gannet nesting site situated on the cliff-tops overlooking the Tasman Sea. Wrap up the afternoon with one final tasting at West Brook Winery, boasting gorgeous lake and vineyard views.
