Discover all the culinary delights of the wonderful Wairarapa region on this half day tour from Wellington. Tuck into a shared cheese platter with a local cheesemaker, indulge in an array of artisan chocolates and savour sips at a world-class winery.
Take your tastebuds on a trip through the Wairarapa region! Your tour begins with pick up from Wellington, where you'll be whisked away over the Remutaka Ranges to Wairarapa, about an hour's drive north east. Along the way, you'll stop over at the 555 metre high summit for spectacular views and photo opportunities. The first foodie venue of the tour is on the other side of the mountain range at C'est Cheese Factory and Cafe, where you'll feast upon a tasting platter of locally made cheeses. Then, treat your sweet tooth at Schoc Chocolates as you taste some of chocolatier Murray Langham's sugary creations. Continue on to the world-class wine region of Martinborough, renowned for its Pinot Noir, for a wine tasting flight. The tour winds down with a stop at Martinborough Memorial Square in the centre of town, where you're free to do what you please. Visit a craft brewery, indulge in an extra virgin and infused oil tasting or relax over a vineyard lunch.
