Spend a morning or afternoon on the Upper Waiau River fishing for Rainbow and Brown Trout. An expert local guide will take you to all the perfect spots and get you reeling in your catch in no time - all while standing amongst the beauty of the Fiordland National Park.
This experience is all about giving trout fishing a go for the first time on Fiordland's mighty upper Waiau River. It's the ultimate Kiwi adventure - climb board a custom-built jet boat with your friendly local guide, then drift down the river having a go at trout fishing along the way. There are high numbers of rainbow and brown trout, and with the crystal clear water clients are bound to hook up! No experience is necessary - your guide will teach you all they know.
But it's not just the thrill of catching trout for the first time that makes this such a memorable day. The scenery is truly epic - think Lord of the Rings filming locations combined with the wilderness of the Fiordland National Park.
What if some of your group isn't keen on fishing? No worries! Your guide can drop them off in the jet boat on an easygoing slice of the Kepler Track or cycle trail which runs alongside the river and meet up at the end of the trip. Sorted and something for everyone.
Morning or afternoon tea is also included, complete with Kiwi home baking!
