Skydive Queenstown, with the Remarkables below

Few drop zones come with a backdrop like this one. A tandem skydive in Queenstown pairs you with a professional jumpmaster, a freefall of up to 200km/h and a glide back down with the Remarkables in view. Pick from three heights, from 9,000ft to 15,000ft.

9,000ft, 12,000ft or 15,000ft: choosing your skydive

The 9,000ft tandem skydive is the entry point, with freefall speeds of up to 200km/h. Step up to the 12,000ft tandem skydive to climb higher before you jump. The 15,000ft tandem skydive goes highest of the three.

What's included in a Queenstown skydive

Each skydive includes full safety briefings and equipment, a professional tandem jumpmaster and a courtesy shuttle to the drop zone. You'll meet your jumpmaster and get fitted with a jumpsuit and harness before boarding. The jump takes off and lands at a private drop zone at the base of the Remarkables, and you're one on one with your jumpmaster, with up to nine other skydivers on the day. These skydives are part of the RedBalloon Responsible Range, with a Qualmark Enviro-Gold endorsement.

Weather and skydiving in Queenstown

Skydiving needs the right conditions. You'll be asked to call the provider 15 minutes before your booking to confirm the weather is suitable. The minimum weight is 40kg, and anyone over 95kg is assessed by the tandem master at the drop zone. The 12,000ft and 15,000ft skydives have a minimum age of 12 and a minimum height of 1.2 metres. Photo packages can be bought on the day.
