Retreat from the city and relax amongst the serenity on Slipper Island, situated just 3km east of the Coromandel Peninsula. At 224 hectares, the island is the perfect place to explore safe, sheltered and sandy beaches either by swimming, paddling or building sandcastles! The resort itself makes up 95 perfect of the island so you’ll have access to almost the entire island.
The stylishly decorated, two room luxury tents are set just a few steps from a beautiful, white sand beach. Situated to enjoy sensational views over the ocean and back toward the hills of the Coromandel Peninsula, you’ll wake to stunning views across the water, views reminiscent of paradise.
The tents are large and roomy, providing a very comfortable hang out space. A covered deck to the front of the tents is the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee or watching the sun sink behind the Coromandel Ranges at the end of the day.
The tents are positioned with privacy in mind, and set a good distance apart. Each tent has its own ensuite toilet, basin and shower situated at the back of the tent, and come with the use of the Slipper Island Lodge for communal cooking, socialising and dining.
Throughout the day there’s plenty of activities available to be booked (may incur an additional cost): Chartered fishing, shooting discs, ATV bike island tour, kayaking. There are also plenty of walks around the island to enjoy the peace away from the hustle of the city.
