Departing Akaroa, wind your way through picturesque countryside hills and over an extinct volcano to a handful of historic and cosy units in the middle of a penguin colony. Spend the afternoon lapping up the secluded swimming beach just outside your door or explore the surrounding landscape. As evening strikes in season, set off on an exciting penguin tour, walking around the colony monitoring nesting sites and ensuring that the Little Penguins are doing well. You'll be able to see these adorable creatures up close as you learn about their behaviours and how conservation efforts have saved the Flea Bay colony from extinction. At night, gaze up at the the starry night sky unaffected by light pollution before a restful nights sleep.
