If a one-of-a-kind, luxurious country retreat is what you're looking for then a none-more-cosy overnight stay in one of these award-winning silos is definitely the way to go. Relax and take in the serenity of the Little River locale, gateway to the Banks Penninsula and just a short drive from picturesque Akaroa. Inside each silo, you will have access to a custom-fitted kitchenette, a relaxed seating area, a toilet and an external balcony on the ground floor, while the stylish upper-level features a bedroom, bathroom and balcony, all accessed via a sculptural steel staircase. Each silo comes complete with a wall-mounted flat-screen TV with satellite channels and DVD player, an MP3/CD/iPod/USB stereo unit, and free WiFi, while the bed-head mounted beds are fitted with feather and down duvets and electric blankets. Capped off with a complimentary selection of teas, coffee and milk, these tiny tin houses away from all the hustle and bustle are the epitome of tranquillity.
