Rally your mates and spend three blissful hours fishing on the calm and reflective waters of Lake Mapourika. Receive expert tuition from your local guide as you fish for brown trout and salmon, whilst cooking up a storm on the BBQ using your own food.
What's better than a good old-fashioned Kiwi BBQ? A fishing charter on Lake Mapourika with a BBQ burning! The lake is well-stocked with good sized brown trout and salmon, and your expert guides will be there to provide all the necessary instruction and equipment to help you reel in these beauties. You'll learn to use various fishing techniques such as trolling, harling and spinning, and the best part is, if your catch is legal and in season, you'll get to take it home. The onboard BBQ comes with everything you need, you just need to supply food and drinks to prepare on board as you watch the fishing lines. It's the perfect way to spend three hours in the beautiful glacier country.
Please note: You must have a fishing licence. Licences are valid for 24 hours at a cost of $21 per person for NZ residents and $34 for non-residents. Licenses are available online from the NZ Fish and Game website.
