Unlike anything you've ever experienced before, you'll journey by wire and walking track through the pristine native forest of the Oxburn valley and over the crystal-clear alpine stream.

A wilderness adventure like no other, this eight-line zipline course takes you on a diverse journey by wire and walking track through some of NZ's most stunning native wilderness. Your adventure will see you experience all kinds of natural wonders, from up-high with stunning views out to Mt Aspiring National Park and Paradise, through the beautiful native forest canopy, to just meters above water as you wind your way down the gorge. Even the journey to the launch site is something to behold with the drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy rated as one of the best in the world!

Whether you call it a zipline or a flying fox, this fun and adventurous activity is the perfect balance of exhilaration, falling halfway between bungy jumping and bushwalking on the scale of extreme. It's also the perfect activity if you're wanting to see some of the region's stunning scenery, experience the native forest and see an amazing slot canyon otherwise inaccessible to the public.

This experience is not suitable for pregnant women or those with reduced mobility

  • Good mobility is required for this activity
  • A reasonable level of fitness is required to complete an uphill 15-20 minute walk through the forest (100 metre elevation gain over 500 metre trail)
  • Own transport required from Queenstown to Glenorchy
  • Minimum age 10 years old
  • Children aged 10 - 16 years require parental/guardian consent and must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years for supervision
  • Minimum weight 30 kg, maximum 125 kg
  • Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

We require a minimum of two people to operate a trip

This experience isn't suitable for spectators and there is no provision for them for transport or at our base. We suggest those in your party who do not wish to zipline stay in Glenorchy and enjoy the services there.

We operate in almost all weather conditions (unless it is unsafe to do so in which case we will contact you - please make sure you include a contact phone number in your booking). In wet conditions bring a rain jacket if you have one (we have spares if you do not). Always bring at least one more layer than you think you may need, we are generally in the forest and it is often much cooler than in the sunshine. A windbreaker-style jack is often useful.

Closed toes shoes are required - suitable for outdoor walking. Please wear clothing suitable for the outdoors with long sleeves and long pants (this is due to comfort with the harness and also as we sometimes experience biting insects called sandflies that can be annoying if you are not covered up). Dress warmly with layers. In winter dress as if going up to the ski fields

The best adventure to do in Queenstown

Absolutely worth the experience! The scenery was utterly breathtaking, offering a perfect blend of excitement and exhilaration while maintaining a strong sense of safety and security throughout. Harrison and Kara, our guides, were not only professional but also infused the journey with their fun personalities. This adventure is undoubtedly the best value for money we've come across in quite some time. Highly recommend it to anyone seeking an afternoon filled with adventure without denting their wallet.
