The river flow is dependent on rainfall, so previous weather may influence the trip. In the event that the river flow is too low, we will be unable to raft. Additionally, we cannot run river trips if the river flow is too high. We will let you know if the conditions on the day are not suitable. We run river tours all year round (even during winter rain!) - you'll be warm in our river gear regardless of the weather.

We provide all the river gear to keep you warm and safe on the river, however you will need to bring a towel and something to wear under your wetsuit. We do not recommend wearing cotton items as these will keep you cold when they get wet.

This experience takes place in Upper Hutt, NZ.

Absolutely loved it!

Awhina 29 December 2023

My partner Tom and I had an absolutely incredible time with Hamish (owner), Tye (guide) and the other members of our crew. We were a diverse group from Chileans to Aussies to a Brit and Kiwi! Felt so comfortable on the river even though it was our first time and that's all thanks to the brilliant team at Wellington Rafting! Honestly so blown away. The landscape was incredible, such a hidden and untouched gem. Getting to have lunch on the river was an unexpected bonus! Thanks guys!!
