Quite fast paced!

I love the wine tours, it’s so handy that they plan everything for you! I have done both this tour and the lunch tour and found this one to be a lot more rushed than the lunch tour. we visited 3 wineries within 2.5 hours and then a fourth for lunch (at your own expense) and were able to enjoy the lunch spot for 2 hours before returning to the ferry. I would recommend the winery tour with lunch for two if you’re after a more leisurely wine tour, and this wine tour if you’re wanting a quick tour then planning on doing other activities on the island as lunch can be done in about an hour depending on where you are!

What a fantastic experience

We had a wonderful day, starting off with a friendly greeting from our very knowledgable tour guide. All the wineries were welcoming and the wines delicious! Would definitely recommend this experience.

What a fantastic day! Everything was as described. Our driver met us off the ferry and was friendly and welcoming. This was a small party of 9 and we enjoyed meeting other people- added to the day as everyone was friendly and conversation flowed. All vineyards we went to were interesting and we felt no hard sell. We particularly enjoyed the food tasting/matching with wines at the peacock Sky vineyard. We finished at Stoneyridge- where we were able to buy a lunch- we shared a platter with 2 other people on our tour- this was a perfect end to the day. We had about 1and 1/2 hours to relax and enjoy good company. This vineyard was a beautiful setting. All vey good. My only comment to make this tour better would be to allow more time at the first vineyard- with maybe time for a coffee (we had of course travelled from Auckland and I think we were all ready for a morning coffee). Also, Daniel, the head wine maker was not really given enough time. The setting was amazing but we only had a few minutes to make purchases and take in the views. Altogether this experience was well organised with a good variety of vineyards. We will definitely go again! Thank you.

A great experience if you have never done this before

Our experience was a gift to us from our children and it was a very enjoyable day. Our driver who met us at the ferry was absolutely lovely and we learned much about the island and its history while visiting different vineyards and tasting some lovely wines. All in all from start to finish it was very well run.

It was great, helped greatly by fine weather. The vineyard/winery hosts were friendly and knowledgeable, as was the tour driver. The only negative was that we turned up at Goldies' vineyard expecting to have lunch but discovered that lunch is served only on the weekend. However, we ended up having a very nice lunch elsewhere so it wasn't too much of a problem.
