Meet your hosts at your Turangi accommodation from 5am to 8am to transfer you to the start of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and return. With the early starts you’ll miss the crowds and enjoy the sunrise.
En route your hosts will share naturally their Ma?ri blessings experience amongst this majestic landscape before letting you set off on your journey. You will then be met at the end of the crossing for your return journey, with a celebratory free cold drink with your name on it awaiting you.

Access to the crossing is weather dependent. Please check in with the experience provider at least one day before your booking date via email or phone to confirm weather conditions.
Avoid denim jeans. Prepare for the weather conditions including wet weather gear. Sturdy footwear is important. It is recommended that you bring sufficient supplies including food, water, first aid kit, toilet paper, sunscreen, and headlamp. Be prepared for all four seasons in one day in the Tongariro National Park volcanic environment where alpine weather conditions can change suddenly.
