Embark on an epic land to lake adventure on board an authentic amphibious WWII vehicle. Departing Rotorua City, you will set off to visit and splash down into three seperate lakes; Lake Okareka, Lake Tikitapu and Lake Tarawera. Delve deep into Maori culture, local legends and more along the way.

On board a genuine amphibious WWII vehicle, explore some of Rotorua's stunning scenery whilst learning about the Maori culture and landscapes. Suitable for the whole family, you will depart the city and head straight to Lake Okareka for your first ‘splashdown’, nestled in the heart of a vibrant little community. Soak in the beauty of this pristine and secluded reserve before arriving at Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake), Rotorua’s most recreational lake. From here, you'll head to the iconic Lake Tarawera where you'll view the mighty Mount Tarawera volcano and learn about the devastating eruption and the effects it had on the land and people.

This experience runs in all weather conditions, however they will not enter the lake if waves are higher than 40cm or if conditions are extreme upon arrival.
Make sure you also dress for the conditions. The provider has heaters, blankets and roll down sides but it is always better to be prepared with warm clothes on the cooler days.
