Get ready to spread your wings and fly like a bird. For 10 to 15 minutes you and a certified paragliding pilot will be flying over the Wakatipu Valley with views of Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and the stunning Remarkables mountain range.

What's included?

Soar above mountain ridges and get a bird's-eye view of Queenstown and its magnificent surroundings during this tandem paragliding experience from New Zealand's highest commercial launch site. Begin with a quick briefing and before you know it you'll take a few quick steps and be lifted into the sky with your highly trained and professional pilot. Gently glide down to the valley floor or ask your pilot for the "roller coaster ride", a thrilling and high G descent that will leave you breathless. Flight time is between 10 and 15 minutes, depending on the season and weather, so you will have plenty of time to take in the amazing views. With courtesy transport from Queenstown, in no time at all, you'll look down on Queenstown's dramatic landscape of pristine mountains and winding rivers.

Important information

  • Please allow up to two hours for this experience
  • Flight time is 10 to 15 minutes in duration
  • This experience is available seven days a week
  • Flights depart at 9 am, 10.30 am, 12 pm, 1.30 pm, 3 pm, 4.30 pm and 6 pm.
  • Winter (June-Sept) flights depart at 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm and 2.45 pm.

Max weight of 120kg

  • A reasonable level of fitness is required
  • The maximum weight for this experience is 90 kg.
  • All customers will be required to sign a liability and medical disclosure form
  • This experience is available to ages six and up
  • Please check in at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time
  • Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

This experience caters for groups of between one to 10 participants per trip, depending on the time of year.

Spectators can come along free of charge on a space available basis.

Paragliding is a weather dependent activity. If Skytrek cancels due to weather, a full refund is given if the booking can't be re-scheduled.

Dress for mountain environment with long pants, sturdy footwear, hat and sun glasses.

This experience takes place at Coronet Peak, New Zealand.
