Situated on the edge of the stunning Whakarewarewa Forest, 12 natural cedar hot tubs await your arrival. Your adventure begins the moment you enter the front door, beneath our rooftop waterfall. You'll shower and change in first-class facilities before meandering along the forest boardwalk to your very own hot tub, perfectly placed next to the Puarenga Stream. Relax in fresh spring water heated to a cosy 39.9 degrees Celsius. The hot tubs can accommodate up to six people per tub, making them ideal for families, friends, or a spacious retreat for two. Stay a while and explore our unique café and bar, play lawn games, and enjoy our outdoor campfires, or unwind with a ‘Shinny Dip’ foot hot tub, free with any drinks purchase. Whether you're a local or visitor to our patch of paradise, you'll find your own secret spot to relax in after your day's adventures.

Important information

Session Length

Hot tubs are booked for a 45 minute soak time, plus 15 minutes to get in/out of the tub
Hot tubs can be booked on the hour or on every quarter hour
Open 9am to 10pm daily (last soak session at 9pm)
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled booking to allow time to shower and change into swimwear

Guidelines

Children under 15 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult
Children under five years old are unable to hot tub
Any health conditions which may be affected by heat must be disclosed to staff before entering the hot tubs
Patrons are required to exit the hot tubs after 45 minutes
Only one group per hot tub (we will not mix unrelated groups)
Alcohol, food and drink may not be brought onto the premises. This is a non-smoking facility
Towel and swimwear hire is available

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Maximum of six bathers per tub (adult and children).

Dress Code

Bring your own swimwear and towels or rent them from reception.

Location

This experience takes place a stone's throw from Rotorua, about a two minute drive south on State highway 5 from Te Puia, 300m down Waipa State Mill Road at the Mountain Bike Car Park. We are signposted from the State Highway 2 turnoff and are located between the car park and the forest.
