Learn to pilot your own plane whilst enjoying a breathtaking scenic flight over Lake Wanaka and its islands. A qualified instructor will have dual control of the plane, guiding you through take-off, flight and landing, meaning that you'll only have full control when you feel confident, and can pass them the reigns if you're wanting to drink up the scenery a little more. The flight path heads to the mouth of the Matukituki Valley, the gateway to Mount Aspiring National Park then onto Lake Wanaka's four islands shaped by glaciers. Revel in blankets views of both Lake Wanaka and the wild Lake Hawea, characterized from above by surreal circles made by pivot-irrigators. It's a wonder-filled location to learn to fly!
Individuals must be under 125kg. Customers who have medical conditions that will likely be affected by the flight are not allowed to participate in this experience. You can take a maximum of 2 extra passengers on board subject to weight limitations.
