Over 30 million years in the making, the beautiful caves of the Waikato region are a haven for keen adventurers, home to a dazzling display of delicate and prehistoric formations like stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone and crystals, and of course the star attraction - glowworms! Assemble the family together and explore the underground wonderland of Karamu Cave for half a day. Offering a variety of challenges, you can expect to wriggle, squeeze, twist and turn whilst getting a little wet and muddy. Be guided through darkness by the thousands of luminous glowworms, and learn more about the geology and formation of the caves from your knowledgeable guide.

This experience is approximately five hours in duration
Available seven days a week at 9:30am and 1pm

Not recommended for pregnant women.

Minimum age is eight years old
Maximum weight limit of 120kg
Moderate level of fitness is required
Participants must understand and speak English
All medical conditions relevant to the activity must be disclosed by participant prior to activity

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

A minimum of 2 people is required for this tour to go ahead.

Dress Code

Dress code will depend on the season. A wetsuit may be worn but at times, thermals and overall is all that is needed. Swimwear is perfect to wear under the overalls in warmer weather.
