There's a reason this tour has the word "essential" in its title! Cecil Peak, Moonlight Creek, Shotover River, Skippers Canyon… you'll experience all the crowd favourites with this spectacular round trip. Heading down the Frankton Arm, your first touch down is on Cecil Peak where you will encounter sweeping views of the lake, town, and surrounding mountains. When you're back in the helicopter, you will continue past Ben Lomond and into Moonlight Creek, heading towards the famous Skippers Canyon. An area steeped in the rich history of early gold miners, this is another site best viewed from above. You will then follow the winding Shotover River canyon back home for one last landing before swinging past Coronet Peak and landing back at base approximately 45 minutes after you set-off.
