Grab some friends or family and enjoy your own private star-studded stargazing experience on this Dark Sky tour out of Wairarapa, the only mobile astronomy tour in town. Led by an experienced astronomer with all equipment provided, snuggle up with a hot water bottle and blankets and prepare to scope out the sky with binoculars and high-powered telescopes. See thrilling detail in the Milky Way and other bright objects without the hassle of having to go anywhere. Learn the Maori and common names for the stars, be dazzled by the history and science behind astronomy, and learn how to navigate by the stars.

Restrictions

Children under 13 are free but please inform the provider if you will have more than 5 children in your group.

Guidelines

Visibility depends on the weather, not all stars may be visible on the night of your booking
Mobile phones and screen devices are encouraged not to be used.
This experience is a mobile service based out of Wairarapa. The experience provider will come to you. Please provide your preferred location at the time of booking

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This experience runs with a minimum of two and a maximum of 10 participants. More attendees can be added after booking and charged via invoice but please inform the provider.

Weather

This experience is weather dependant. In the event of thick cloud, rain, ice, snow and strong winds, the booking will be rescheduled, subject to availability.
