Slow it right down at Polynesian Spa, New Zealand's original and iconic geothermal bathing and luxury spa retreat. All 28 mineral pools at the historic Spa are fed from two natural springs boasting restorative qualities. The slightly acidic Priest Spring waters relieve tired muscles, aches and pains while the alkaline waters of the Rachel Spring nourish skin. You will have access to the Deluxe Lake Spa, suitable for all ages and featuring five mineral hot pools, a cold plunge pool for hydrotherapy, geothermally-heated poolside recliners and changing facilities with all amenities provided. Feel all your worries gently slip away as you sink into the warm therapeutic waters, admiring the sweeping views of Sulphur Bay on Lake Rotorua as you relax.

This experience is part of the Responsible Range as it was awarded a Qualmark Enviro-Gold endorsement.

Available 7 days a week 9am - 11pm with last entry at 10pm

Guidelines

Children under eight must be actively supervised by a caregiver in the water who is over 16 years old
Participants with underlying medical or health conditions are advised to consult their doctor should they have any queries regarding the use of hot pools
Mineral water will tarnish silver jewellery and some gold. Please remove all jewellery before entering the pools as the provider accepts no responsibility for any tarnished jewellery
Prolonged immersion in the hotter pools may cause dehydration and fainting. When exiting the pool, take care and use the hand rails provided
We recommend you not to stay in hotter water for more than fifteen minutes at a time
Infants and children under two years are free of charge. Babies are required to wear swimming nappies
You must stay hydrated. Bring along a drinking bottle or purchase at the Spa. Drinking fountains are found around the pools for refilling.

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Dress Code

Please ensure swimwear is worn at all times whilst in the Deluxe Lake Spa. Only recognised and purpose-made swimwear is allowed, no street clothing inside the pools. When inside the lounge, please wear a robe, towel or clothing. No wet bathing suits on couches please. Respect quiet zones, no phones/music in pool areas, and no photographing other bathers.

Other Info

Temporary pool closures: Rachel Pool (Pavilion area) closed from 28 April for ~3 weeks. Alkaline pool (Pavilion area) closed for a few days during this period. Family Pools closed from 18 May for 7 days.
