Here, you can also meet Alfie the Tuatara, a magnificent creature over 40 years old, that serves as a living link to New Zealand's ancient past.

The National Aquarium is more than just an exhibition space, it also functions as a rescue and rehabilitation centre for Little Blue Penguins. These charming residents cannot return to New Zealand's wild, so the aquarium provides them with a safe sanctuary where guests can learn from them. • Animal feedings occur daily at 10am and 2pm
