Experience unparalleled aerial views of New Zealand's Southern Alps on this six-hour fly and explore experience. Along your journey fly up the spine of the South Island and take in the beautiful bird's eye views of the surrounding landscapes including Lake Wanaka and Aoraki/Mt Cook. Back on the ground, you will also get the chance to enjoy up to five hours of exploration time in Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park where you can head into Mt. Cook Village to enjoy lunch at The Hermitage Hotel, check out the Sir Edmund Hillary Centre and walk the Hooker Valley Track, the most popular hike in the park.
The flights are weather-dependent. Pilots will make a weather check one hour before each scheduled departure. If they cannot fly due to adverse weather conditions, the supplier will attempt to reschedule depending on your schedule and flight availability. If they cannot reschedule, you will receive a 100% refund.
Warm clothing layers, sunglasses, and sensible footwear are essential.
Food is not included, but there are food options available for purchase when landing in Mt. Cook. You are welcome to bring a snack of your own. If you are planning to do one of the longer walks, like the Hooker Valley Track, please bring lunch with you as there won't be much time for you to head to one of the cafes.
