Travel to Middle Earth, as you visit some of the best film locations from Lord of the Rings. Begin your tour taking in Glenorchy’s majestic landscapes, which have become a popular location for filming of many movies, including Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit Trilogy, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Chronicles of Narnia. Go beyond Glenorchy, travelling up the Dart Valley to the filming location for Isengard, set amongst snow-capped mountains beside the turquoise waters of the Dart River. This setting offers views of Mt Earnslaw and it’s hanging glacier, used in the first installment of The Hobbit Trilogy. View the location of the Seat of Seeing or Battle of Amon Hen, and explore the Paradise Forest, the location for the Forest of Lothlorien. Leaving Glenorchy and returning towards Queenstown, stop at 12 Mile Delta to explore the location of the Ithilien Camp.
Bring the films to life with our authentic replica props, dress up and take photos, or simply soak up the scenery.
