Fuse a flying lesson with an awe-inspiring scenic flight over the picture-perfect Lake Wanaka township and the glass-like Glendhu Bay. Reach the clouds with an experienced instructor by your side and feel the buzzing sensation of piloting a plane, whilst admiring the natural beauty below you.
Glide over the charming Lake Wanaka township and then over the dazzling and often glass-like Glendhu Bay during a 20 minute trial flight. A qualified instructor will have dual control of the plane, guiding you through take off, flight and landing, meaning that you'll only have full control when you feel confident, and can pass them the reigns if you're wanting to drink up the scenery a little more. Be in awe as you soar over the sparkling landscape, before performing a sweeping turn over the lake back to base, skirting past wedge-shaped Mount Iron and the Clutha River. It's a wonder-filled location to learn to fly!
Individual must be under 125kg. Customers who have medical conditions that will likely be affected by the flight are not allowed to participate in this experience. You can take a maximum of 2 extra passengers on board subject to weight limitations.
