Walk straight into the heart of the World Heritage-listed Fiordland National Park as you discover the iconic Milford Track, characterised by enormous tree canopies, emerald-green ferns and majestic waterfalls. Spend the afternoon cruising the full length of the fiord.
Home to expansive mountain ranges, lush forests and stunning alpine lakes, there's no place better suited to nature lovers than the Fiordland National Park. After pick up from your Te Anau accommodation, enjoy a coach ride with your local guide to Milford Sound, where you will join a short boat transfer to Sandfly Point which marks the beginning of the famed Milford Track. The easy 5.5km trail takes you past the cascading Arthur River and Lake Ada, and immerses you in a green wonderland. Wander underneath an ancient tree canopy and amidst emerald-green ferns and mosses, with nothing but birdsong echoing through the trees. It's truly a serene experience as you make your way to the spectacular Giant Gate waterfall, best viewed from the large swing bridge spanning the river.
Upon your return in Milford Sound, you will join a two hour nature cruise which traverses the full length of the fiord and out to the Tasman Sea. With excellent indoor and outdoor viewing areas, you will have unobstructed views of all the waterfalls, rainforests and mountains scattered throughout. View the iconic Mitre Peak, get up close to the mighty Stirling Falls and keep your eyes peeled for seals basking on the rocks and dolphins frolicking by. The tour ends with a transfer back to Te Anau.

The weather in Fiordland National Park is highly changeable. Please bring appropriate clothing and gear for the conditions.
Waterproof jacket, warm clothing and walking/hiking shoes are essential. Sunhat, sunscreen and a woolly hat are recommended.
