After pick up from your Te Anau accommodation, enjoy a coach ride with your local guide to Milford Sound, where you will join a short boat transfer to Sandfly Point which marks the beginning of the famed Milford Track. The trail (11 km return) takes you past the cascading Arthur River and Lake Ada, and immerses you in a green wonderland. Wander underneath an ancient tree canopy and amidst emerald-green ferns and mosses, with nothing but birdsong echoing through the trees. It's truly a serene experience as you make your way to the spectacular Giant Gate waterfall, best viewed from the large swing bridge spanning the river.
Upon your return in Milford Sound, you will join a two hour nature cruise which traverses the full length of the fiord and out to the Tasman Sea. With excellent indoor and outdoor viewing areas, you will have unobstructed views of all the waterfalls, rainforests and mountains scattered throughout. That’s 10% of the Australian population! When we started ‘doing’ experiences in 2001, Facebook didn’t exist; the iPod had just been invented; John Howard was Prime Minister; and Destiny's Child were popular (yikes!). We’ve been at this business of experiences for quite a while, so put your trust in us to show you a good time.
The RedBalloon Price Guarantee does not apply to experiences involving accommodation or Experience Providers' own conditional sales.
