Climb the via ferrata alongside a spectacular waterfall and enjoy the awe-inspiring, natural landscapes NZ is known for, from way up high! You'll cross wire bridges, climb ladders and discover hidden swimming holes. Finish at a beautiful picnic spot and enjoy some snacks while taking in the view.

This is no ordinary tour; get ready for a tonne of fun way up high amongst gorgeous natural landscapes with Wildwire Wanaka. You'll climb up 100 vertical meters beside an idyllic waterfall and cross 4 wire bridges on the via ferrata course. Marvel at picturesque backdrops that look like classic landscape paintings, discover hidden swimming holes, and finish in a lush picnic spot where you'll enjoy snacks and a rest.

The mixture of climbing, nature, and high-wire adventure will challenge you, but in the most fun way possible! If you can climb a ladder, you can do this course. Be prepared for fantastic photo opportunities at every turn.

Important information

  • Please meet 10 minutes prior to your confirmed experience time.
  • The whole experience takes 2-3 hours.
  • All participants need to be able to climb a ladder, walk on uneven terrain and be active for 2-3 hours
  • You will be asked to sign a waiver before undertaking the activity
  • Must have a reasonable level of fitness
  • Minimum age is 10 years
  • Suitable for beginners
  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Best way to see Wanaka!

An amazing adventure. Scaling your way up a mountain right next to a waterfall. Stopping along the way to take in the spectacular views across Wanaka. A great activity, highly recommended.
