Soar 3500 meters up the majestic Matukituki Valley and into the heart of Mount Aspiring National Park during this hour trial lesson. Grip the controls with an instructor by your side and witness a magical alpine wonderland below you, all whilst feeling the thrill of flying a plane.
Witness otherworldly sights only seen by a privileged few during this one hour trial flight. A qualified instructor will have dual control of the plane, guiding you through take off, flight and landing, meaning that you'll only have full control when you feel confident, and can pass them the reigns if you're wanting to drink up the scenery a little more. After a safety briefing, you will head west and climb up to 3500 metres up the mind-blowing Matukituki Valley and into the heart of Mount Aspiring National Park. Soar past the stunning Glendhu Bay, Rocky Mountain and Treble Cone ski fields along the way, as well as above a wonderland of shimmering glaciers. You'll make the turn back to base under Mount Aspiring, where magical waterfalls cascade into valleys of pristine beauty. Enjoy the thrill as you fly low level down the Minaret Burn Valley to Lake Wanaka and Lake Hawea. It's a wonder-filled location to learn to fly!
Individuals must be under 125kg. Customers who have medical conditions that will likely be affected by the flight are not allowed to participate in this experience. You can take a maximum of 2 extra passengers on board subject to weight limitations.
