Queenstown and the Southern Lakes have some of the most spectacular and majestic scenery on Earth. This private tour is the perfect opportunity for photography enthusiasts to explore and capture the beauty and splendour for themselves, with a passionate, experienced landscape photographer as a guide

Head out for a full day photography tour through Queenstown and the Southern Lakes. Depending on your interests, your mentor will help choose the locations to suit - whether it be waterfalls, gold mining, vineyards, tussock landscape, The Remarkables, or lake views.

Whichever direction you take, your guide will take you to their favourite, choice spots for capturing the splendour and magnificence. You will be mentored with advice on finding great shots, creative composition and exposure to help you capture the majesty and beauty.

All levels of photography skill and all types of camera are catered for so combined with the creative and compositional advice of your teacher, you will learn how to get the most out of your camera.

Your guide will collect you from your Queenstown accommodation and drop you back when the day is over. Light refreshments are offered and we stop to buy lunch in a local village (at your own cost).

Pick up is from Queenstown, Arrowtown or Frankton accommodation at 8am
Earlier pick ups can be arranged May - September to catch the sunrise from a high vantage point

Restrictions

Ages 16 to 80. Must be able to travel in a standard 4WD SUV. Being able to walk at least short distances to take photography images.

Skill in photography is not required, but enthusiasm is. This tour is to take you to spots only a local knows and we are there to help you get the most out of your camera device.

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience

Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Non photography participants are welcome but charged at the same rate.

Weather

All kinds of great weather make for great photography. Tours are cancelled in the event of dangerous weather and road conditions

Martin my guide for the day was brilliant. Even though I am a local he took me to locations I had not been. He had knowledge of history of the area,He was professional, accommodating and easy to get along with. Photography has been my hobby for years still my guide took me to another level. I have been wanting to take good Photo's of the rare native falcon for a long time and today was the day. I would have no hesitation in recommending Martin my guide and this experience .
