Ever imagined what it would be like to be a pilot? Now's your chance to find out during this helicopter trial flight over Christchurch. After introductions and a comprehensive pre-flight briefing, you'll hop inside the Christchurch Helicopter and grip the dual controls. Before you know it, you'll hear the engine roar to life and you'll be taking charge of take-off, with your expert instructor right by your side. Learn to hover and fly whilst taking in views of the region before safely landing back at base. The exhilaration is unmatched.

Please allow 60 minutes for this experience, including a briefing and flying time.

This is a one-on-one lesson with your instructor.

No spectators allowed in helicopter, however family and friends can watch from behind the fence

This experience is weather dependant and may be cancelled at the discretion of the provider in the event of high wind or poor weather.

Covered Shoes

We require quests to provide their weight prior to their departure. Please contact us 48 hours prior to your departure to give weight and be updated on weather conditions.

This experience takes place in Christchurch over the flight training zone in the Canterbury region

A must do experience!!

Went for a trial helicopter flight. Absolutely loved it and got to take the controls after expert guidance from my flight instructor Geordie. He was very patient and gave clear instructions so felt safe throughout the whole flight. Got a good amount of flight time too. Highly recommend this experience to all. Thanks, team.
