Bungy jumping 35 metres towards the surging Waiau River below is a must-do activity for everyone at some point in their lives. Confidence and bravery may all be lost when you step onto the ledge. Securely strapped into a harness, you are ready to go - you just need to jump!

Muster up all your confidence and bravery as you bungy jump 35 metres towards the Waiau River.

Securely strapped into a harness and with the guidance from the professionals alongside you, all you need to do is move your feet from the platform. The fall will feel like both an eternity and a split second as the adrenalin overcomes you.

The bungy jump is located in an idyllic alpine setting on the 135 year old historic Ferry Bridge.

At the end of your jump you’ll receive a t-shirt and certificate as evidence of your courage, and photo packages are available for purchase also so you can relive the moment again and again.

Important information

  • Please allow 30 minutes for this experience
  • The minimum age for bungy jumping is 12 years, with minimum weight of 35 kg
  • All jumpers must fit the provided safety equipment
  • T-shirts and certificates are included, and photos are available at an additional cost
  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Tandem jumps are available at the same cost as an individual jump; simply purchase two vouchers.

For transport from Christchurch to Hanmer Springs and return, take the Hanmer Connection Shuttle Bus (ph 0800 242 663). For guests staying in Hanmer Springs, a complimentary return shuttle is available. This service is available from your accommodation to the jump facilities.

Great surprise gift!

Bought the bungy jump as a surprise birthday gift for a friend. The staff were great, incredibly professional and had a good sense of humour! Accommodated the use of a personal GoPro as well as their own. Experience was great even as an observer, would definitely recommend this if heights aren't an issue!
