What's better than cracking open a cold one on a warm afternoon? Cracking open a cold one made by you! This hands-on brewing experience takes you through the complete brewing process, from preparing the water, mashing in, boiling the wort and adding hops to chilling and fermenting your beer. There are over 20 recipes to choose from, so make sure you pop in early to sample the range. As you brew, treat yourself to one of their 16 beers on tap and a bite to eat at the bar. Once brewed, you will pitch your yeast and put your concoction into the fermenting room, returning to the brew site in a couple weeks for a bottling session. Your beers will then need to be stored at room temperature for two weeks to carbonate. Each brew makes 40 litres of beer, which is equivalent to four crates or 20 six-packs. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal!
While you don't need to be 18 to brew in New Zealand, the provider is a licensed premise. Families are welcome so long as minors are supervised by their legal guardian.
Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:
Up to three people per brew station. If you have more people, book another station, there are 16 available.
Close-toed shoes are required.
